Years of public opinion research shows us that voters in the U.S. strongly support investment in the nation’s water and sewer systems, worry about drought, flooding, and pollution, and want the government to help communities better prepare for extreme weather. Clean water, public health, and public safety are shared values that unite voters across political ideology and demographics. In this webinar, we discussed how to turn this support into action, communicating with lawmakers and constituents across the aisle during a time of great political division. The second half of the workshop focused on honing the “elevator pitch” when meeting with policy makers and staff.
